4 things you already work on. Almost never in an order that compounds.

Engagement, reputation, activation, growth. Every publisher works on all 4. What almost nobody does is run them in a sequence where each one feeds the next — which is how you end up doing things that quietly cancel each other out.

Fix deliverability while still mailing everyone and it tanks again in six weeks. Reactivate before your reputation is stable and you burn the sending domain you just repaired. Buy growth without a defined base and you dilute the thing you spent three months building.

Everything has to be done correctly — in the right order, at the right time. That's the whole point of the 4 weeks.

The model

The Engagement Flywheel

The Engagement Flywheel: Engagement (week 1), Reputation (week 2), Activation (week 3) and Growth (week 4) feeding each other in a loop that spins faster every send. Week 1 Week 2 Week 3 Week 4

What we build, week by week

4 workshops. 4 things running in your ESP by the end.

Week 1 · Engagement

Thursday, October 1

  • Define the base sending segment — who on your list is demonstrably alive
  • Click-based tiering: active, cooling, dormant, gone
  • First click velocity, and engagement decay by source
  • Sunset and suppression rules: what leaves the base, and when
  • Cutting volume over to the base, and what happens to revenue in month one

You leave with: a base segment and engagement tiers live in your ESP.

Week 2 · Reputation

Thursday, October 8

  • SPF, DKIM and DMARC audited and corrected
  • Moving DMARC off p=none toward enforcement
  • Google Postmaster Tools connected, and how to read it weekly
  • Subdomain separation — marketing, transactional, reactivation
  • Bounce handling, complaint rates, feedback loops, and a warming plan

You leave with: authentication verified, Postmaster live, a weekly placement read.

Week 3 · Activation

Thursday, October 15

  • Who is genuinely recoverable, and who should stay out
  • Building the re-entry cohort off network click signal
  • Reactivation sequence — volume, cadence, and keeping it isolated
  • Re-entry criteria: what earns a subscriber a place back in the base
  • What to do with the ones who don't come back

You leave with: a reactivation sequence running against a defined cohort.

Week 4 · Growth

Thursday, October 22

  • Score every source on base-segment members produced, not CPL
  • Cost per engaged subscriber, by source
  • Retention curves — which sources decay fastest
  • The cut list
  • Where that budget goes instead

You leave with: a source scorecard and a list of what to cut.

Every session is 90 minutes, with Q&A in the back half. All 4 are recorded.

Who's teaching it

Chris Miquel

Chris is the co-founder of Audience Bridge and the publisher of 16 newsletters. Seven and eight-figure newsletter operators come to him when the money they're spending to grow their list isn't adding the revenue it should.

He spends his days inside other people's sending infrastructure — which is why the 4 weeks are built around what actually moves placement and revenue, rather than what's easy to teach.

None of this is theory. Everything in the series is run against lists he and his partner manage themselves.

Fast-action bonus

A full list diagnostic review by Chris's team

The first 5 people to enrol — and only if you're in by midnight ET on Friday, September 18 — get their whole list reviewed by Chris's team before week 1 begins.

There's nothing to prepare. Give us access to your ESP account and we do the rest. You get back your Engaged Audience Density number, a provisional base-segment boundary, and the one thing to fix first — with a full written summary of what to do next.

Reviews run between September 21 and 30, so yours lands before week 1. Whichever limit hits first — 5 buyers or the Friday deadline — closes it.

Questions

What if I can't make one of the Thursdays?

Every session is recorded and you get the recording. That said, the series is built around doing the work in sequence — week two assumes week one is live in your ESP — so the people who get the most out of it attend live and use the Q&A.

What size list is this for?

It's built for publishers with enough volume that placement and list quality show up in the revenue — typically tens of thousands of subscribers and up. If you're below that, the mechanics still apply but the money you'd save probably doesn't justify the price yet.

Which ESP do I need?

Any of the major ones. The segment logic, authentication work and reactivation structure are platform-agnostic; Chris will show the implementation in the common platforms and help you map it to yours in the Q&A.

Is this the same as the free Base Sending Segment workshop?

No. The free session covers what a base sending segment is and how to find yours. Week 1 here goes further — tiering, decay, sunset rules, and the volume cutover — and weeks 2 to 4 are entirely new ground.

Can I send someone from my team instead?

Yes. One seat, one person — but it doesn't have to be you. Whoever actually touches the ESP will get the most from it.

What happens after the 4 weeks?

You'll have the flywheel running and a scorecard telling you where your growth spend is being wasted. Some people take it from there themselves. If you want help running it, that conversation tends to happen on its own.
